A Pilgrimage To The Shrine Of Our Lady Of Good Help

Early morning on October 23rd, 2018 at 6:00 AM ten of us ladies from St. Michaels joined Immaculate Conception Parish, located in Lonsdale, MN on a pilgrimage to The Shrine of Our Lady Of Good Help in Champlin, Wisconsin. This pilgrimage was led by Fr. Nick Vandenbrooke and Fr. James Adams. This site is the only shrine in the U.S. that is approved by the church.

In October 1859, The Blessed Mother appeared to a young woman named Adele Brise. Adele was a 28-year-old Belgian immigrant on her way to and from church when Our Lady appeared to her. Adele recalled that The Beautiful Lady was clothed in dazzling white, with a yellow sash around her waist. Adele also said Our Lady had a crown of stars around her head. The Blessed Mother told Adele she wanted her to teach the children about; the Catechism, how to make the sign of the cross, how to pray, and perhaps most importantly, help them prepare for the sacraments.

Adele devoted her entire life to this mission, given to her by Our Blessed Mother, until her death in July of 1896. Adele's last words were, "I rejoiced in what was said to me. We shall go into the house of the Lord."

On December 8th, 2010 The church approved the apparition. Shortly following the approval, many pilgrimages in faith came to the Shrine asking God to grant them special grace, through Mary's intercession for a Miracle, Many had been granted miraculous healing.

If you visit the holy sight at The Shrine Of Our Lady of Good Help, you will find it a simple-humble-peaceful place to pray and feel Mary's presence. Mass is celebrated every day. Below the Church is the Crypt built on site of the apparition to Adele. There you will encounter a beautiful statue of Mary surrounded with an abundance of candles.
